On April 23, 2024, on the day of Saint Demetrius the Myrrh-Streamer, the official groundbreaking ceremony for Azimut District—the new heart of Burgas—took place. This was a significant day for the city as it also coincided with the builders' patron celebration. The ceremony, led by Metropolitan Arsenius of Sliven, was attended by close partners and representatives of Azimut Constructions including company directors Ivan Kolev, Zhivko Kovachev, and Filip Hristov. The Metropolitan received a special gift from the Azimut team—a bishop's staff with embedded stones as a token of gratitude.
Azimut District will be located at the entrance to Burgas, on a site above Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University, covering an area of 50,000 m². The project includes 12 contemporary buildings designed with the highest construction and energy efficiency standards. Every detail has been carefully planned with the comfort of future residents in mind.
Azimut offers a variety of services and amenities to ensure a comfortable and social life for all residents:
Azimut District features innovative underground and above-ground infrastructure, including electric vehicle charging stations and energy-efficient systems ensuring sustainability and energy savings. A rainwater collection system will be implemented to automatically irrigate green areas. Security is guaranteed with 24/7 video surveillance, physical security personnel, motion sensors, and controlled access.
The first building in the district, Atlas 1, will offer 154 apartments of various sizes: studios, one-, two-, and multi-bedroom units. Each apartment is designed with spacious, bright rooms, terraces, and landscaped common areas. Children’s playgrounds and an underground parking lot with controlled access will also be built.
With Azimut, we are launching not just a construction project, but a new way of life in Burgas—more social, healthier, and sustainable.
